Trump just walked up to the podium as Jerry Goldsmith's AIR FORCE ONE...

... began playing! Man, I love that score!!!

But it really should have been my guy Teddy Cruz up there with that patriotic theme playing!!!

God bless America!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

I don't believe in any god, but someone please save the world from that lunatic. Not saying your Teddy would have been measurably less scary.

Cruz scary??? Why? Because it's something different and not just 4 more years of Obama?

4 more years of Obama, unfortunately, were not an available alternative. Most of Europe would probably have preferred Bernie as his successor and grudgingly would have accepted Hillary as the lesser evil to Drumpf.

But either way, I wouldn't want an ultra-right religious hypocrite wingnut as head of the most powerful nation either. Cruz/Trump (or vice versa) would have been the classic choice between plague and cholera. Seen from afar, of course, but with constant and continuous knowledge and interest in American politics for the last forty-some years.

I would have rather dug out Richard Nixon than this.

Of course it was. Hillary. She was supposed to continue his "legacy".

No offense, pep. But we have no interest in embracing European values. Europe doesn't understand us and we don't understand it. This nation was founded on completely different values and principles. What we call normal everyday family values you guys call extreme far-right religious nut jobs. As if we stalk people in the night with pitchforks and nooses, ready to exterminate them if they don't conform. I believe that's called radical Islam, and that's what needs to be eradicated.

I realize the first part of your second paragraph. But with the U.S. having played world police since 1945, it cannot expect the rest of the world (TM) to be complacent about it reverting to basically medieval moral values, like those represented by Cruz. Especially if the U.S. also insists on being an "exceptionalist" role model, which it hasn't been at least since Bush II and his Iraq aggression, and in spite of Obama sort of getting it back among civilized countries by at least finally (about 150 years after everybody else) introducing a sort of universal health care.

Trump will make this impression of the U.S. worse again (he has already), and basically any of the other Republican candidates would have, too.

No offense here, either. I think I can truly say that I love much of what represents America and especially a considerable number Americans I know personally. And that's why I hate it, among other things, that this election will give endless ammo to simplistic anti-Americans over here who would even consider Obama to be a war-mongering puppet of Wall Street.

And now I'm going to bed to sleep off this day's horrors.

That's right, pep. We have those differences between us, and being both an American and a Ukrainian I can understand both the American and European mindset. My birthplace of Lviv certainly has a European mindset, completely different from what you would find in Moscow or even other parts of Ukraine. But what works in Europe doesn't always work here and vice versa.

As you may know Trump wasn't my choice and yes it's a bit unsettling with him in charge (especially when you have leaders from Russia or the Philippines calling in to congratulate him) but we pray that God leads us through all this. I just want things to get better and I'm ready to eat crow if I'm wrong about Trump and he turns out to be even a half way decent president.

Here is one freedom loving European that understands Americans and believe me, where on Earth do you find such a beautiful constitution? I wish to express my love for American values, and am very happy when representatives of the mighty and above the Law-Elite is as far away from the White House as possible.

Peace to America and the world!

I do have to admit that I get great satisfaction when the liberal media gets it oh so wroooooong! I mean they practically crowned her Queen Hillary before a single vote was even cast. Just watch all those Saturday Night Live skits where time and time again Hillary (played by Kate McKinnon) is walking around like a peacock proclaiming that she's already president while Stupid Donald (played by Alec Baldwin) is fumbling and falling all over himself. The media already made up their mind who the next president would be without even taking into account the ever-important concept of "WE, THE PEOPLE". Well, the people have spoken and the media is left with egg on their face. They can't understand how it all went oh so wrong. They simply don't get the fact that most ordinary folks don't watch them or care about their narrative that they have created. Folks make up their own mind based on a variety of different factors. There are coal miners and farmers in the heartland of America who could care less what Trump is tweeting or whom he's groping or bullying. Their priority is they need to put food on the table and if they feel Trump will do that they will vote for him. End of story. Maybe I don't agree with these people because my situation is different and I can't identify with what they're going through, but regardless of what I think I need to accept that this is the reality and that's how things are. How I perceive and judge things is not necessarily how others see and judge things and make their decisions. But the media just assumes that the entire population watches them and just accepts their narrative and then like brainwashed zombies go out to vote. That's why we now have all these demonstrations because those folks who do watch the media and have bought in completely into what the media has been selling them can't accept the fact that Trump is now President-Elect Trump. They feel something is wrong somewhere, this isn't how things were supposed to go. I just wish that the media would take a back seat and just shut up and stop speaking for every segment of the population out there, people they can't possibly understand. It's like they simply don't understand that there are people who live beyond DC and the Big Apple who don't play their game or answer their polls or drink their brand of kool-aid. Well, now they know.

I mean look at this buffoon John Oliver who was practically daring Trump to run a few years ago, obviously never believing in a million years that he could win. He made the same prediction about the Chicago Cubs that they would NEVER win the World Series. Well, guess what happened this year? The Cubs win the World Series (for the first time in 108 years!!!!) and Trump becomes president. Stephen Colbert was daring Trump to run too. Now, they're both kicking themselves. I despise arrogant know-it-all asses like those two whose entire existence is dedicated to mocking the GOP and conservatives. What better way to mock the Republicans?? Just go ahead and dare Trump to run, that's how. Haha, funny!! Hilarious!! Well, now the joke's on them, isn't it? It shows they're completely clueless!

Here's the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGWxs_yWekk

So even though I don't relish the thought of a Trump presidency nothing gives me more joy than seeing these liberal "oracles" make complete asses out of themselves. I feel zero sympathy for all these shell shocked individuals crying in their soup and protesting just because they can't accept reality and because they thought they were the smartest ones in the room. What's even more appalling is that they were schooling the Trump supporters on how they better accept the election results once Hillary wins and now they themselves are the ones who can't accept the results. Wow, just wow!
