Why did Max Largo get over Domino so quickly in NSNA?

Basically in NSNA, Largo seems to be in love with Domino and gives her a wedding present even though he murdered her brother.

However, after she rejects him and he seems heartbroken, he sells her off to slavery, but then just moves on very quickly, and is all smiley and mustache twirly again, when it comes to wanting to detonate the bomb and everything. Why?

I'd put it down to his positive outlook. There was just no harshing his mellow.

I'm motivated by my Duty.

Agreed! Largo had a great attitude and conducted his affairs with dignity and grace. He's a positive role model for budding psychopathic villains.

I guess, but I found myself having trouble getting behind him when he just lets it roal off his back, when his goals are not met.

It's like how in A View to A Kill, Bond and Mayday stop Zorin's plan, and then after Zorin is still laughing all evil and doesn't seem to care that it went wrong.
