Villian Elimination: Drax vs Trevelyan

So YOLT's incarnation of Blofeld is through to join Goldfinger, Greene and Carver in the next round.

Kananga is cast to the wayside along with Stromberg, Graves and Kristatos.

On to the next matchup

Hugo Drax vs Alec Trevelyan
Firstly to Drax. I have to give credit where credit is due to Michael Lonsdale. Despite all the insane goings on around him, he beautifully underplays the role, and has a very droll chemistry with Roger Moore. He is certainly superior to Stromberg, but unfortunately falls into the trap of being primarily a button presser before taking "One giant step for mankind".

Alec Trevelyan. Simply put,is imo one of the top five Bond villians. Another of the villians involved in the old bait and switch, he is essentially a dark mirror image of Bond. An excellent physical threat also, actually besting Bond in one of the series most underrated punch ups, inside the cradle. Not to mention he also has a personal connection to Bond, back when that actually felt fresh(dear god that seems an age ago, post SPECTRE). Lastly, but not least, Sean Bean has an excellent on screen chemistry with Pierce Brosnan both in the friendly and antagonistic scenes.

My vote:Trevelyan (of course!)

Both are at the very top of the villain pantheon but I gotta give 006 a slight edge. Bean kills it!

Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!

Drax. Best lines ever said by a Bond villain.

Whilst I do like Trevalyn, Drax is a superb villain mostly down to Michael Lonsdale's dry delivery of his lines. He added a more sinister edge to the character.
