Tomorrow Never Dies isn't very good.

I do not relish the world it creates.

Yes, TND just doesn't cut the mustard.
It will never catsup to QofS.

It left Bond in a pickle? Weak sauce?

TND is one of the good ones. I would put it somewhere between the 10th to 12th best.

Well, it's better than TWINE and DAD, for sure.

Did anyone initially think TWINE was a better film than TND? I sure did. I remember being disappointed in TND when I first saw it and then after seeing TWINE I thought it was a step up from the previous film. I think it's really the PTS in TWINE that grabbed me (and still does) and how it really kicks off the story proper from the very start. It's just a shame that as the film progresses it loses that momentum and just peeters out at the end. TND, however, has improved after repeat viewings.

Agreed, and there seems to be a pattern about recent 3rd Bond films.

Did anyone initially think Skyfall was a better film than QOS? I sure did. Still, TND far above QOS.

I definitely disagree with you on the QOS vs. SF comparison. Just from the cinematography, music, acting, and sheer atmosphere standpoint SF completely trumps (hehe) QOS, never mind that the story is 100 times more engaging than what we saw in QOS. That's right, what story?

Not to mention that comparing the lame Perla de las Dunes finale to the magnificent finale in SF is like comparing a scribbled note to the Mona Lisa.

So no, the same does not apply in this case.

So, the 11th?
