It's hilarious! The 90 year old is pissed off so he's being difficult on purpose. I'm surprised the interviewer didn't just quit and said ok this is going nowhere. I don't know how Jerry kept a straight face through the whole thing. Seems like the interviewer was really trying to keep it all together.

Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!

Very, very funny. I'm glad the interviewer didn't quit. Loved the mock laugh at 6:33!

I got the impression his voice lowered when he talked about Martin.

"Alright, clean it outta here."

reply

Oh yeah that mock laugh made me crack up. Again, don't know how he kept a straight face.

I had no idea that such a pleasant-seeming simpleton from the movies in real life could be such a curmudgeon. And it doesn't seem to be just a case of old age.

Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!

And yet that's Jerry Lewis on a good day...

Seriously. He's been known to slap people in the past.

"Security - release the badgers."

reply

He can be a fairly serious person, when you see him in interviews. However, I think his reluctance to engage with this interviewer has something to do with his finding him and the crew unprofessional, for some unexplained reason. Lewis prides himself on being a professional (regardless of whether this interview supports that argument).

reply

Maybe no one took him seriously

reply

I must say this after having watched that video;

If you want an interview with an grand celebrity of high age, why send a "novise" to do the interview?
After 20 questions about old age I myself got irritated. I´m telling you, the questions were imbecille, although I really expected Jerry to be unprovocingly provocative. Maybe he is beginning to be "nicer" now because of age, I dont know!

But there should have been better questions directed to a special person, not general questions directed to a special person.

thats it!
