A much needed thread and homage to the underappreciated Locque.

Locque, a memorable character indeed. Michael Gothard owned that part. He managed to make the guy feel threatening just with his body language and octagonal glasses (which he himself recommended). The file Bond reads about him is a nice touch, in that it emphasizes the contrast between Locque's normal appearance, and the weird, sinister vibe he in fact gives off.

I like how he is never seen with Kristatos. He is always on his own. And of course, his staying put when Bond fights his way out of Gonzales' villa in Spain. Eerily in control.

This explains his "appeal" in the best possible way, I think (thanks Hagensen from bondsuits.com):
Loque is one of my favorite villains. Unlike other villains, I feel the reasons he seems so creepy is because of the fact that he doesn’t look creepy at all. He doesn’t look like a thug or murderer, he looks like a corporate executive (on a ski-trip). The fact that I find him so chilling is because he just seems to be capable of doing anything, a true unreliable psychophath, wich is more scary than someone who obviously look very violent or brutal (Oddjob, Gobinda, Grant etc).

I believe he also made a sound when he stirred his drink at Gonzalez's Spanish villa.

Locque represents the silent evil that could spring at any of us at any moment. His eyes are studious, he watches carefully and meticulously selects his next plan of operation. It takes a formidable foe as Bond to dispatch him.
