Bond Girl Tournament R1: Kara Milovy vs Melina Havelock

In the first non-unanimous round of the tournament Honey Ryder advanced to the quarterfinal by a 9-2 score and Pam Bouvier knocked out Madeleine Swan 7-4. This round pits the innocent and wholesome Kara Milovy of THE TOWERING AND MAJESTIC The Living Daylights against the vengeance minded Melina Havelock of For Your Eyes Only. Will Melina impale sweet Kara with her crossbow or will Kara escape by riding away in her cello case? Your votes will decide. I will not be posting another round over the weekend since it is NYE and New Year’s Day, so happy new year and see you Monday for the next round.

Rules- Voting ends 24 hours after each first post. In the case of a tie the first vote after the time limit breaks the tie and ends all voting. You may also change your vote at any time while a competition is ongoing, and you may break a tie by doing so, but if a result is reached by the time limit or someone has cast a tie breaking vote all votes are locked.

We don’t want poor Kara to get impaled by a crossbow do we? I’m voting for her.

A difficult choice, but I think I'll have to go for the woman who finally called Bond a horse's arse.

I choose Kara Milovy...

For her skills as a sniper and a pilot, if nothing else. 

My vote is for Melina.

Kara is a plain looking girl at least by Bond girls standards. She is also a boring character.

A lot has been said about Carole Bourquet's (msp?) acting but you need to take in consideration that her voice was most likely dubbed like other previous girls. So character wise, she is so much more interesting than the plain and forgettable Kara.

Voting Tory will cause your wife to have bigger breasts and increase your chances of owning a BMW M3

I pick Kara Milovy. Wouldn't miss her performance. Or her Playboy spread. Plus she's the biggest promoter of Bond Girls Forever. I'd keep her away from the guns, though.

I'll go with Melina. I agree with others that the actress is wooden, but Melina is a better written character than the Kara character, so I'll go with that.
