Bond Girl Tournament R1: Jinx vs Wai Lin (January 7-8)

I think today’s match is one of the most interesting of the first round. We have Brosnan’s two “badass” lead Bond Girls facing off against each other in Jinx from Die Another Day and Wai Lin from Tomorrow Never Dies. Probably the best fight scene between two Bond Girls that could ever occur.

Rules- Voting ends 24 hours after each first post. In the case of a tie the first vote after the time limit breaks the tie and ends all voting. You may also change your vote at any time while a competition is ongoing, and you may break a tie by doing so, but if a result is reached by the time limit or someone has cast a tie breaking vote all votes are locked.

As a side note, please do not bump these threads well after voting is completed. It is fine if you are continuing a side discussion in the thread, but if you go way back and vote or leave comments in a bunch of dead tournament threads the first page of the board will be littered with them and it will be hard for people to discern what the most recent one is. To deal with this I included the dates for this one in the subject title

First of all, I do like Jinx, or rather Halle Berry whom I find incredibly attractive, especially when she emulates Ursula Andress coming out of the water. For me, she is one of the very few assets of the mess that is DAD. Too bad they gave her those incredibly stupid lines to say, and I'm not even worried about "Yo' momma".

But I try to vote here based not just on looks, but on the entire character portrayed, and that dialogue is part of it. My vote is therefore Wai Lin.

Personally I've never thought Wai Lin was overly interesting aside from doing cool stuff in the action scenes. Jinx isn't the best written character but she has an actual personality while also being B.A.

I don't like really short hair on a girl. Well I do (maybe not that short, but definitely on the shorter side) and Jinx is also a bit more interesting of a character, so I vote for her.

Two badass ladies returned to life through OO7's mouth to mouth resuscitation--one of them underwater at the time!

I choose Wai Lin. Her character and Michelle Yeoh have my respect. So, yeah, Yeoh.
