And so the title of the next Bond film is to be ...
Verily I say unto thee...NOTHING PROPINKS LIKE PROPINQUITY. At least Sam Smith will be unable to write a song with those words in the lyrics so that is a blessing at least.

shareThat's okay, I always liked the instrumental theme to OHMSS. It's one of my top three favourite 007 film themes.
It's just a shame that John Barry is no longer with us...

Verily I say unto thee..I don't see why the OHMSS theme can't be used again, there was a hint of it in the trailer for SPECTRE but alas it made no appearance in the movie itself.
shareBeing the actual film theme of OHMSS would render it inappropriate for me. I wouldn't want to hear the theme of FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE during TOMORROW NEVER DIES - despite how much I like both films. However, the traditional James Bond theme, 007 theme plus one or two other instrumentals from earlier films would certainly be quite welcome.
And not all of them have to be John Barry's work. I absolutely adore Bond 77 by Marvin Hamlisch, from THE SPY WHO LOVED ME. It's my single favourite piece of Bond music up to this point in time. I find it to be brilliant music to drive by.

NOTHING PROPINKS LIKE PROPINQUITYThat would definitely be a waltz.
ONE twothree, ONE twothree...
I always thought BALLSQ would make for an awesome title. The average film-goer obviously won't get it. But we all shall.
Could be the name of a mission.
Plus it's been a while since we had the letter Q in a Bond title. Not since that film which will forever remain nameless, except by one poster around here.
Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!
Followed by the sequel BOLAS007.
Now, this is a signature gun, and that is an optical palm reader.
BOLAS007 could be a direct sequel, except not directed by Swiss Marc.
Connery, Moore, and Brosnan! Accept NO substitutes!
Brainstorming here, how about:
THE MIDDLE MAN.
Kind of le Carré-esque, recalling the recent success of THE NIGHT MANAGER. Or concepts like The Big Picture. Simple, intriguing.
With an obvious byline for the doomsayers.
Right down the toilet.
What no man Can give ya. And none Can take away.
