I watched "The Magnificent Seven" (1960) for the first time in at least a decade and found I still loved it. I still recall going to the drive-in back in the early 60's and seeing it for the first time. I would swear I see something new I missed during past viewings.
shareI absolutely LOVE LOVE this movie. I think Steve McQueen is one of the coolest guys ever. I've seen this movie a million times and never tire from it. I just recently showed it to my thirteen year old son for the first time the other day and he loved it. He thought Chris (Yul Brenner) was cooler than Vine (McQueen, but other than that we were in complete accord. I love introducing movies and shows from my childhood not only to my son but to my husband as well. My husband had never seen Magnificent Seven until we were married. I don't mind telling you how shocking it was to find out how lacking his education was. LOL!

shareIt used to be my third favorite Western, great scenes, like the earlier poster said, the one with Wilkie's gun vs Coburn's knife.
shareIt lacks an edge, a very safe western which makes it for me a bit boring.
