share1. The Phantom Menace - because I like Jar Jar and Natalie is his friend in that movie.
2. Mars Attacks! - Because I am a huge Slim Whitman fan.
3. Thor - Because Rifftrax did a very funny commentary on the movie.
Natalie is very pleasant to look at, and I'm sure she's intelligent and interesting in "real life." I think she may have missed her calling. I wish she would run for office instead of starring in more movies.
Heat - doesn't feature her predominantly but is obviously a good film all the way around.
Black Swan - good horror and great sex scene.
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith - the prequels aren't excellent movies but I love Star Wars in general so I have to put one of them on here.
Overall Natalie has given a wide range of performances, varying in quality, but she's definitely one of the prettier actresses around today.
For some reason she usually annoys the hell out of me. I think the hate started with "Black Swan" (2010), which is an unacknowledged and dumbed-down rip-off of the masterpiece "The Red Shoes" (1948). Not really Portman's fault but I like to hold grudges!
I only liked her in two earlier efforts, "Cold Mountain" (2003) and "Léon: The Professional" (1994).
I watched "Heat" (1995) only a few weeks ago, and cannot even remember her being in it (but that is not necessarily a criticism, such is my dislike of over-acting).
1. As Alice aka Jane in Closer. Showed that she can be sexy in a more blatant way, vulnerable and strong.
2. As Evey in V for Vendetta. To me this is her strongest performance not Black Swan. She just shows her full range in this film.
3. The Other Boleyn Girl as Anne. Just a very sexy performance and she's devious and somewhat sinister in this film. A change from her other roles.
Léon: The Professional (1994)
V for Vendetta (2005)
Black Swan (2010)
V for Vendetta- it's great
Black Sawn- it's great
Leon: The Professional- it's great
The Professional
Black Swan
Heat
All three films are excellent with great performances. Honorable mention goes to V for Vendetta which is awesome and Natalie is wonderful as always
"I'm just a happy camper! Rockin' and a-rollin'!" - Patrick Bateman, American Psycho
Black Swan (2010) She was fully convincing as a Ballerina. Pure oscar worthy material!
Your Highness (2011) Natalie improvised in every scene and she was a screen stealer she was just as funny as she was fierce as a warrior.
Brothers (2009) There's a lot of heartbreak in this movie... she plays a character who sleeps with her husband's brother who was presumed dead in a hostile country.
I felt that it was Natalie's performance that made her character likable and non-stereotypical.
