Peanut Butter....[Solved]

Hi All,

I have a movie/tv scene stuck in my head lately and I just can't figure out where I'm remembering it from. In the scene, the protagonist covers a bad guy in peanut butter which will attract rats as a means to get him to talk.

I know it's not the bucket scene from 2 Fast 2 Furious or the scene from Wanted?

Any ideas? Apologies for not having any more specifics, it's just really bugging me.

Thanks

Willard?

Thanks, but no.

It's a more modern movie. Think the guy getting the peanut butter on him is from a gang (in the movie).

Thanks though

According to this article http://www.listal.com/list/top-10-cruel-torture-methods, Denzel Washington was in a film where peanut butter was smeared on someone before rats were unleashed on him. It fails to mention the movie though.

See if any of these ring a bell.... https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000243/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1

I went through the whole filmography. I even fast forward watched a few of the likely candidates but couldnt find it.

That article could be mixing up Denzel with another actor I guess?

reply

Hard to say without knowing what film they were referring to.

This article states a similar scene happened in S03E10 of Animal Kingdom https://hiddenremote.com/2018/08/01/animal-kingdom-season-3-episode-10-recap/. Didn't see the original movie it was based on but maybe it was in that?

There is a rat scene in The Bone Collector, don’t remember if peanut butter is involved but it is a Denzel movie.

reply

Just saw the rat scene on youtube and no sign of peanut butter on the clip they showed.

reply

Ya, thanks but I knew it wasn't that one.

It's still bugging me.

I think there is an episode in the "Hawaii 50" remake where gangsters do that. The original series was in the 1960s.

You are a hero! Thank you!

That's the one!

Guess it wasn't Denzel after all!

You're welcome.

Can you edit the title to put SOLVED in it please.

Glad you found your answer.
