Vague details: I seen this film in my US History class. Don’t know exactly what it was about but I remember the white boy’s Mother and father traveling with their baby, and it ends up dying. Also the Native boy and White body didn’t get along at first.

At Play in the Fields of the Lord (1991, dir. Hector Babenco), starring Niilo Kivirinta -unfortionately this seems to have been his only appearance- playing the white boy; his parents were working as missionaries, as far as I recall; and in the movie it took "Billy Quarrier" a time to get along with the Native (Amazonas indio) boys - another coincidence would be that "Billy" eventually dies (from fever, I think).
