Cheesy teen movie on USA Up All Night

I know, that doesn't narrow it down a bit, but I was watching this thing and there was a football team. The players were at practice, I think, and two of them got into an altercation. "Coach" came over and grabbed them and said:

"Hey....you.....knuckleheads.....save......it......for......the....big.....game"

I mean this guy was the worst actor ever. For years we had a running joke that an actor was "worse than coach" or "as bad as coach".....But in spite of watching USA U.A.N. religiously, I never saw this movie again. Once video came out, I was on a quest, but still never found this blockbuster.

Don't know if this is the movie but I remember one called "The Girl I Want" about a brainy girl who turns trampy to win over a football player, all the while the football player secretly already has a crush on her and wants to win her over. It was an incredibly cheaply made movie and it's main character is a football player so it's possible. I remember hoping that would be re-aired so I could see the whole thing but it never did.

Sounds very possible. Like you, I watched and watched, but whatever it was never repeated. Maybe I can find that title somewhere.

Ooops, Looked it up. The coach was played by Lyle Waggoner. I know he knows how to act. Oh well, the search continues.

I'm going for the long shot: I went to IMDB, and looked "coach" up in characters. Now I'm in for a lot of detective work.

Well, might as well post my other White Whale: There was a show or movie, pretty sure it was a movie, probably some sort of horror movie, and the brother and sister were maybe around 10. The brother did something, and the sister said "you're hurting me, Jonathan". One line out of millions. It has stuck with my brother, sister and me for 40+ years. We use it any time one of us feels pain from one of the others.

I to remember Sid Ceasar doing that in the movie "Grease" (1978) as he stand between two boys but grabs their collars and scolds them. Maybe I'm wrong

The guy I am talking about could not have been a professional actor. I think they just grabbed a guy off the street. It is difficult to demonstrate in print just how bad he was. You have to get the timing, or lack thereof, in his speech pattern to truly appreciate how awful he was at acting. Maybe someone dropped out of filming at the last minute? I do appreciate your input, Bourbon. This has been a DECADES long quest!
